His life will be long, he will be arrogant, his veil will become tight at the end of his time, and his wealth and the wealth of his will increase, until he becomes as fat as the rest of the Muslims, and he will extinguish our previously known traditions, and he will innovate things that were not, and he will commit adultery and drink alcohol openly. He will frighten scholars to the point that a man will ride his camel and then go to Egypt from the regions where he will not find a man to speak to him with a knowledgeable hadith, and Islam will be strange in his time, as it began to be strange, on that day. The one who adheres to his religion is like one holding a burning ember, until it becomes his command to send a slave girl who arrives in the markets wearing blankets of gold, meaning socks, and with her a condition, that she must wear clothing that does not cover her, coming and going, and if a man says a word about that, I will strike his neck.

In his time, there will be trembling, distortion, and collapse. The beginning of his time is for you, O people of Yemen, and the end of it is upon you, until he orders the expulsion of the people of Yemen, the Levant, and Al-Hamra, and they go out, until they end up at the outskirts of the countryside from where they were expelled.

So they gathered and looked to whom they would pledge allegiance to, and while they were there, when they heard a voice said by neither a human nor a jinn, they pledged allegiance to so-and-so in his name, neither of any kind, but of a Yemeni caliph.

So Lakhm, Leprosy, Jadis, and Amila will be Mughtha to them on that day, just as Yusuf was Mughtha to the family of Yaqub. So Yemen and Al-Hamra, who are the loyal ones, correspond, and they will gather together in a group like the gathering of autumn clouds, meaning the intermittent clouds.

Al-Hakam bin Nafi’ told us, on the authority of Jarrah, on the authority of Artat, who said: “There will be a truce between the Mahdi and the Romans, then the Mahdi will perish, then a man from his family will follow him, and he will be just a little, then he will draw his sword on the people of Palestine, and they will revolt with it, and he will seek help from the people of Jordan, and he will stay among them for two months, and will be just as the Mahdi is, then he will draw his sword on them, and they will revolt with it, and he will escape until he descends on Damascus. Have you seen the ceilings that At the gate of al-Jabiya, where the coffins are located, there is a round stone below it, on five cubits, on which he slaughters and the remembrance of his blood will not be extinguished until it is said: The Romans have established therein between Tire and Acre, for they are the epics.”

I have heard that the Mahdi lives forty years, then dies in his bed, then a man emerges from Qahtan with pierced ears, following the manner of the Mahdi, he lives for twenty years, then he dies with weapons, then a man from the family of the Prophet (may Allah’s prayers and peace be upon him) emerges, a Mahdi of good character, who conquers the city of Caesar, and he is the last prince from the nation of Muhammad (may Allah’s prayers and peace be upon him), then the Dajjal will emerge in his time, and Jesus, the son of Mary, peace be upon him, will descend in his time.

After the Mahdi, there will be a man from Qahtan with pierced ears, in the manner of the Mahdi. His life will be twenty years, then he will die with a weapon, then a man from the family of Ahmad (may Allah’s prayers and peace be upon him) of good conduct will emerge and conquer the city of Caesar. He will be the last king or prince from the nation of Ahmad (may Allah’s prayers and peace be upon him), and the Dajjal will emerge in his time, and Jesus, peace be upon him, will descend in his time.
