Kitab al-Fitan · Nu'aym ibn Hammad

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:“The Hour will not begin until the Euphrates uncovers a mountain of gold and people fight over it, and out of every ten, nine will be killed.’”

Ibn al-Mubarak told us, on the authority of Harun, on the authority of Hafs ibn Sulaiman, on the authority of al-Hasan, in the Almighty’s saying: “It is He who is able to send upon you a torment from above you” [Al-An’am: 65]. He said: This is for the polytheists.
