Damra bin Rabi’ah told us, on the authority of Yahya bin Abi Amr al-Sibani, on the authority of Dhi Mukhbar, the son of my brother al-Najashi, who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s prayers and peace be upon him) say: “You will make peace with the Romans for ten years in a secure peace. They will pay you two years, and betray you the third, or they will fulfill four years and betray the fifth. Then an army of you will descend on their city, and you and they will flee to an enemy behind them. Then Allah will grant you victory, and you will be victorious with what you have afflicted. Reward and spoils, and they land in a hilly meadow, and your speaker says: Allah has conquered, and their speaker says: The cross has conquered, and they trade it for an hour, and the Muslims become angry while their cross is not far away from them, and the Muslim revolts against their cross and strikes it, and they revolt against the breaker of their cross, and strike his neck, and that band of Muslims revolts against their weapons, and the Romans revolt against their weapons, and they fight, so Allah honors that band of Muslims, and they are martyred, and they come. Their king, and they say: We have satisfied you with the burden of the Arabs and their horses, so what are you waiting for? Then a woman’s burden will be gathered for you, and then he will come to you in eighty camps, under each camp twelve thousand.”

By the One in whose hand is my soul, until they destroy the Romans all together, and only an informer escapes. Then they set off for the land of the Romans and conquer its fortresses and cities with the takbir, until they come to the city of Heraclius and find its bay with Batha. Then they open it with the takbir. They say the takbir, and one of its walls falls. Then they say the takbir another, and another wall falls, and its sea wall remains unfallen. Then they seek protection from Rome and open it with the takbir, and on that day they will sway their spoils. Enough of deceit

Allah gave me the Persians, their women, their children, their money, and their weapons, and He gave me the Romans, their women, their children, their weapons, and their money, and He provided me with donkeys.

Al-Hakam bin Nafi’ told us, on the authority of Saeed bin Sinan, on the authority of Abu Al-Zahiriyah, on the authority of Hudhayfah bin Al-Yaman, (may Allah be pleased with him) who said: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s prayers and peace be upon him) said: “There will be a truce between you and the Banu Asfar, the Romans, and they will betray you by carrying a woman. They will come in eighty camps on land and sea, with twelve thousand under each camp, until they land between Jaffa and Acre, and the owner of their kingdom burns their ships, and he says to his companions: Fight for Your country will join the battle, and the soldiers will support each other until those from Hadhramaut from Yemen will support you. On that day, the Most Merciful will stab them with his spear, strike them with his sword, and throw his arrows at them, and the greatest slaughter will occur among them.”

Safwan said: Abd al-Rahman ibn Jubair, Abd al-Rahman ibn Maysarah, and Shurayh ibn Ubaid told me that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ warned his companions of the Dajjal, saying: “Know, O people, that you will not meet your Lord until you die, and that your Lord is not one-eyed. Indeed, the Dajjal lies about Allah. Your pilgrimage is from him, and if he comes out after me and I am not among you, then a man will be a pilgrim himself, and Allah is my successor over every Muslim. Whoever of you meets him should recite the opening of Surah Al-Kahf.”

Between the creation of Adam (peace be upon him) and the arrival of the Hour is a matter greater than the Dajjal

Sahl bin Yusuf told us, on the authority of Humaid, on the authority of Anas, (may Allah be pleased with him) who said: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s prayers and peace be upon him) said: “The Dajjal has one eye in the left eye, between his forehead is written: Infidel, and on his eye there is a thick spot.” Sahl said: It is: K F R, and the K, F, and Ra are joined together like writing.

Before the Dajjal emerges, more than seventy Antichrists will appear

Az-Zuhri narrated from Salim from Ibn 'Umar who said:"The Messengers of Allah(s.a.w)stood among the people,he praised Allah as is due to Him, then he mentioned the Dajjal and he said: 'Indeed I warn you of him. There has not been a Prophet except that he warned his people, and Nuh indeed warned his people – but I am to say something about him that no Prophet has said to his people: You should know that he is one-eyed, and Allah is certainly not one-eyed.'” Az-Zuhri said: “ `Umar bin Thabit Al-Ansari informed me that some of the Companions of the Prophet(s.a.w) informed him, that one day, the Prophet(s.a.w) was cautioning them against Fitnah and he said: 'You must know that not one of you will ever see his Lord until he dies. And indeed, he(the Dajjal) has “Kafir” written between his eyes; everyone who is averse to his behavior shall read it.'” (Sahih)

There were six years between the epic and the conquest of Constantinople, and then the Dajjal would emerge in the seventh year

The news comes to them that the Dajjal has left after they conquered Constantinople, so they leave but do not find him. They only stay for a short time until he leaves.

Before the Dajjal emerges, there will be years of deception in which the truthful will lie, the liar will be believed, the traitorous will be trusted, the trustworthy will be betrayed, and the lowly Ruwaibidah among the people will speak.
