أخبرنا علي بن محمد بن عقبة الشيباني، بالكوفة، ثنا إبراهيم بن إسحاق الزهري، ثنا يعلى بن عبيد، ثنا مسعر، عن عبيد أبي الحسن، عن ابن عبد الله بن مغفل، قال: أراد ابن لعبد الله بن سلام يخرج نحو الشام، فاطلع عليه عبد الله من فوق بيت، فقال: «يا بني لا تفجعني بنفسك فليأتين من الشام صريخ كل مسلم»
