Kitab al-Fitan (Nu'aym ibn Hammad) 1302
Kitab al-Fitan of Nu'aym ibn Hammad: ungraded, and weak overall. Never established on its own.
Traced to Ka'b al-Ahbar (automatic guess): a report of earlier scriptures, not a hadith of the Prophet ﷺ.
Naim told us, on the authority of Baqiyya, and Abd al-Quddus, on the authority of Safwan, on the authority of Shuraih ibn Ubaid, on the authority of Ka’b, that he said to Muawiyah ibn Abi Sufyan: “For people to be covered with chickpeas is something that frightens them, until they leave it hastily, having left their world behind them. Even when a woman comes out, her slave girl follows her until she takes off her cloak and says: Where, where? And until seventy thousand of them die from thirst, and until The man keeps asking his family in Ghouta: Who saw her? Who felt her? So the one who says: I saw her in the wormwood, carrying her child on her shoulders, wrapping her legs with her veil. I don’t know what she did yet. So how about you, O people of Homs, if the lightest of your women were taken away by you, and the heavy ones were your enemy’s? When people heard this hadith in that time, they cursed her with the curse of Allah if they saw the burdened woman.
