حدثنا نعيم ثنا بقية، وأبو المغيرة، عن صفوان، عن شريح بن عبيد، عن كعب، قال: «تخرج الحبشة خرجة ينتهون فيها إلى البيت، ثم يخرج إليهم أهل الشام فيجدونهم قد افترشوا الأرض فيقتلونهم في أودية بني علي، وهي قريبة من المدينة، حتى أن الحبشي يباع بالشملة» قال صفوان، وحدثني أبو اليمان، عن كعب قال: يخربون البيت، ويأخذون المقام، فيدركون على ذلك فيقتلهم الله تعالى "

The Abyssinians go out in a way in which they end up at the house, then the people of the Levant come out to them and find them spread out on the ground, and they kill them in the valleys of Bani Ali, which are close to Medina, so much so that the Abyssinians are sold by the whole lot.
