حدثنا رشدين، عن ابن لهيعة، عن أبي زرعة، عن صباح، عن سعيد بن الأسود، عن ذي قرنات قال: " إذا رأيت رجلا أعرج من بني أمية على مصر فاخرج من الفسطاط على رأس بريد، فإنه يقتله رجل من أهل بيته، ثم يبعث إليهم أهل الشام جيشا فيلقاهم رجل من كندة بالعريش، فيمت بطاعتهم الأولى والآخرة، ويقول: أنا أكفيكم هذا الأمر، فيقبل بالجيش فيقتل ذلك الرجل ومن يتابعه حتى يسبي أهل مصر، ويتبعونهم بسوق مازن "
