حدثنا ابن وهب، عن إسحاق بن يحيى التيمي، عن المغيرة بن عبد الرحمن، عن أمه، وكانت قديمة، قال: قلت لها في فتنة ابن الزبير: إن هذه الفتنة يهلك فيها الناس؟ فقالت: " كلا يا بني، ولكن بعدها فتنة يهلك فيها الناس، لا يستقيم أمرهم حتى ينادي مناد من السماء: عليكم بفلان "

Ibn Wahb told us, on the authority of Ishaq ibn Yahya al-Taymi, on the authority of al-Mughirah ibn Abd al-Rahman, on the authority of his mother, who was old. He said: I said to her regarding the turmoil of Ibn al-Zubayr: Is this turmoil in which people will perish? She said: “No, my son, but after it will be a trial in which people will perish, and their affairs will not be settled until a caller calls from the sky: Against you is so-and-so.”

ইবন ওয়াহব আমাদেরকে বলেছেন, ইসহাক ইবন ইয়াহিয়া আল-তাইমী, আল-মুগিরাহ ইবন আবদ আল-রহমান, তাঁর মায়ের কাছ থেকে, যিনি বৃদ্ধ ছিলেন। তিনি বলেনঃ আমি তাকে ইবনুল জুবায়েরের অশান্তি সম্পর্কে বললামঃ এই অশান্তি কি মানুষ ধ্বংস হবে? তিনি বললেন: "না, আমার বৎস, তবে এর পরে একটি পরীক্ষা হবে যাতে লোকেরা ধ্বংস হয়ে যাবে এবং তাদের বিষয়গুলি ঠিক হবে না যতক্ষণ না আকাশ থেকে একজন আহ্বানকারী ডাকে: তোমার বিরুদ্ধে অমুক।"
