حدثنا شيخ من الكوفيين، عن ليث، عن شهر بن حوشب، عن أبي هريرة، رضي الله عنه قال
في رمضان هدة توقظ النائم، وتخرج العواتق من خدورها، وفي شوال مهمهة، وفي ذي القعدة تمشي القبائل بعضها إلى بعض، وفي ذي الحجة تهراق الدماء، وفي المحرم وما المحرم؟ وهو عند انقطاع ملك هؤلاء
