Abu Yusuf al-Maqdisi told us, on the authority of Muhammad ibn Ubayd Allah, on the authority of Yazid ibn Sindi, on the authority of Ka’b, who said: “When the west appears over Egypt, the interior of the earth on that day is better than its surface for the people of the Levant.
