Surah 50 · verse 42

Admonition from Some Scenes of the Day of Resurrection Allah the Exalted said, وَاسْتَمِعْ (And listen) `O Muhammad,' يَوْمَ يُنَادِ الْمُنَادِ مِن مَّكَانٍ قَرِيبٍ (on the Day when the caller will call from a near place.) to the gathering for the Day of Judgement, يَوْمَ يَسْمَعُونَ الصَّيْحَةَ بِالْحَقِّ (The Day when they will hear As-Sayhah in truth,) in reference to the blowing in the Trumpet which will bring forth the truth that most of them discounted and denied, ذَلِكَ يَوْمُ الْخُرُوجِ (that will be the Day of coming out.) from the graves, إِنَّا نَحْنُ نُحْىِ وَنُمِيتُ وَإِلَيْنَا الْمَصِيرُ (Verily, it is We Who give life and cause death; and to Us is the final return.)

Allah is He Who starts creation and then brings it back to life, and the latter is easier for Him; to Him is the final return of all creations. At this time, He will recompense each according to his or her deeds, good for good and evil for evil. Allah the Exalted said, يَوْمَ تَشَقَّقُ الاٌّرْضُ عَنْهُمْ سِرَاعاً (On the Day when the earth shall be cleft, from off them (they will come out) hastening forth.) Allah the Exalted and Most Honored will send down rain from the sky.

From that rain the bodies of the creations will grow while they are in their graves, just as the seed grows in soil in the aftermath of rain. When the bodies grow to their full strength, Allah the Exalted will command angel Israfil and he will blow in the Trumpet (for a second time). The souls will be enclosed in a hole in the Trumpet. When Israfil blows in the Trumpet, the souls will depart from it and will fly between the heavens and earth.

Allah the Exalted and Most Honored, will declare, "By My grace and power, each soul shall return to the body that it used to inhabit," and indeed, every soul will return to its body. The soul will enter its body just as poison enters the body, then the earth will be uncovered from above them, and they will all stand and head towards the Reckoning place hastening to obey the command of Allah the Exalted and Most Honored, مُّهْطِعِينَ إِلَى الدَّاعِ يَقُولُ الْكَـفِرُونَ هَـذَا يَوْمٌ عَسِرٌ (Hastening towards the caller.

The disbelievers will say: "This is a hard Day.")(54:8), and يَوْمَ يَدْعُوكُمْ فَتَسْتَجِيبُونَ بِحَمْدِهِ وَتَظُنُّونَ إِن لَّبِثْتُمْ إِلاَّ قَلِيلاً (On the Day when He will call you, and you will answer (His Call) with (words of) His praise and obedience, and you will think that you have stayed (in this world) but a little while!) (17:52) In the Sahih, it is recorded that Anas said that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, «أَنَا أَوَّلُ مَنْ تَنْشَقُّ عَنْهُ الْأَرْض» (The earth will open up first around me.)

Allah the Exalted and Most Honored said, ذَلِكَ حَشْرٌ عَلَيْنَا يَسِيرٌ (That will be a gathering, quite easy for Us.) `bringing them back to life is easy for Us and effortless.' Allah the Exalted and Most Honored said, وَمَآ أَمْرُنَآ إِلاَّ وَحِدَةٌ كَلَمْحٍ بِالْبَصَرِ (And Our commandment is but one as the twinkling of an eye.)(54:50), and, مَّا خَلْقُكُمْ وَلاَ بَعْثُكُمْ إِلاَّ كَنَفْسٍ وَحِدَةٍ إِنَّ اللَّهَ سَمِيعٌ بَصِيرٌ (The creation of you all and the resurrection of you all are only as of a single person.

Verily, Allah is All-Hearer, All-Seer.) (31:28) Comforting the Prophet The statement of Allah the Exalted and Most High, نَّحْنُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا يَقُولُونَ (We know best what they say.) means, `Our knowledge is all encompassing of the denial that the idolators are confronting you with, so do not be concerned.' In similar Ayat, Allah said, وَلَقَدْ نَعْلَمُ أَنَّكَ يَضِيقُ صَدْرُكَ بِمَا يَقُولُونَ - فَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّكَ وَكُنْ مِّنَ السَّـجِدِينَ وَاعْبُدْ رَبَّكَ حَتَّى يَأْتِيَكَ الْيَقِينُ (Indeed, We know that your breast is straitened at what they say.

So glorify the praises of your Lord and be of those who prostrate themselves (to Him). And worship your Lord until there comes unto you the certainty (i.e., death).) (15:97) Allah's statement, وَمَآ أَنتَ عَلَيْهِمْ بِجَبَّارٍ (And you are not the one to force them.) says, `it is not you who forces them to accept the guidance; this is not a part of your mission.' Allah the Exalted and Most Honored said, فَذَكِّرْ بِالْقُرْءَانِ مَن يَخَافُ وَعِيدِ (But warn by the Qur'an; him who fears My threat.) meaning, `convey the Message of your Lord, for only those who fear Allah and dread His torment, and hope in His promise will remember and heed,' فَإِنَّمَا عَلَيْكَ الْبَلَـغُ وَعَلَيْنَا الْحِسَابُ (Your duty is only to convey (the Message) and on Us is the reckoning.)(13:40), فَذَكِّرْ إِنَّمَآ أَنتَ مُذَكِّرٌ - لَّسْتَ عَلَيْهِم بِمُسَيْطِرٍ (So remind them -- you are only one who reminds.

You are not a dictator over them.)(88:21-22) لَّيْسَ عَلَيْكَ هُدَاهُمْ وَلَـكِنَّ اللَّهَ يَهْدِى مَن يَشَآءُ (Not upon you is their guidance, but Allah guides whom He wills.)(2:272) and, إِنَّكَ لاَ تَهْدِى مَنْ أَحْبَبْتَ وَلَـكِنَّ اللَّهَ يَهْدِى مَن يَشَآءُ (Verily, you guide not whom you like, but Allah guides whom He wills.) (28:56) Allah's statement here, وَمَآ أَنتَ عَلَيْهِمْ بِجَبَّارٍ فَذَكِّرْ بِالْقُرْءَانِ مَن يَخَافُ وَعِيدِ (And you are not the one to force them.

But warn by the Qur'an; him who fears My threat.) Qatadah used to invoke Allah by saying, "O Allah! Make us among those who fear Your threat and hope for Your promise, O Barr (Subtle, Kind, Courteous, and Generous), O Rahim (the Most Merciful)." This is the end of the Tafsir of Surah Qaf. All praise is due to Allah, He is for us, the most excellent Trustee.

৪১-৪৫ নং আয়াতের তাফসীর: হযরত কা'ব আহবার (রাঃ) বলেন যে, আল্লাহ্ তা'আলা একজন ফেরেশতাকে বায়তুল মুকাদ্দাসে দাঁড়িয়ে উচ্চস্বরে একথা বলার নির্দেশ দিবেনঃ “সড়া-গলা অস্থিসমূহ এবং হে দেহের বিচ্ছিন্ন অংশসমূহ! আল্লাহ তোমাদেরকে একত্রিত হয়ে যাওয়ার নির্দেশ দিচ্ছেন। তোমাদের মধ্যে তিনি ফায়সালা করবেন।” সুতরাং এর দ্বারা সূর বা শিংগাকে বুঝানো হয়েছে। এই সত্য ঐ সন্দেহ ও মতভেদকে দূর করে দিবে যা ইতিপূর্বে ছিল। এটা হবে কবর হতে বের হয়ে যাওয়ার দিন।মহান আল্লাহ বলেনঃ প্রথমে সৃষ্টি করা, তারপর ফিরিয়ে আনা এবং সমস্ত মাখলুককে এক জায়গায় একত্রিত করার ক্ষমতা আমার রয়েছে।

ঐ সময় প্রত্যেককে আমি তার আমলের প্রতিদান প্রদান করবে। প্রত্যেকে তার ভাল-মন্দের প্রতিফল পেয়ে যাবে। যমীন ফেটে যাবে। সবাই তাড়াতাড়ি উঠে দাড়িয়ে যাবে। আল্লাহ তা'আলা আকাশ হতে বৃষ্টি বর্ষণ করবেন, যার ফলে মাখলুকের দেহ অংকুরিত হতে শুরু করবে, যেমন কাদায় পড়ে থাকা শস্য বৃষ্টি বর্ষণের ফলে অংকুরিত হয়। যখন দেহ পূর্ণরূপে গঠিত হয়ে যাবে তখন আল্লাহ তা'আলা হযরত ইসরাফীল (আঃ)-কে শিংগায় ফুৎকার দেয়ার হুকুম করবেন। সমস্ত রূহ শিংগার ছিদ্রে থাকবে।

হযরত ইসরাফীল (আঃ)-এর শিংগায় ফুৎকার দেয়ার সাথে সাথে রূহগুলো আসমান ও যমীনের মাঝে ফিরতে শুরু করবে। ঐ সময় মহামহিমান্বিত আল্লাহ বলবেনঃ “আমার ইযযত ও মর্যাদার কসম! অবশ্যই প্রত্যেক রূহ নিজ নিজ দেহের মধ্যে চলে যাবে। যাকে সে দুনিয়ায় আবাদ করে রেখেছিল।” তখন প্রত্যেক রূহ নিজ নিজ দেহে চলে যাবে এবং যেভাবে বিষাক্ত জন্তুর বিষক্রিয়া চতুষ্পদ জন্তুর শিরায় শিরায় অতি তাড়াতাড়ি পৌঁছে যায় সেই ভাবে ঐ দেহের শিরা উপশিরায় অতিসত্বর রূহ চলে যাবে।

আর সমস্ত মাখলুক আল্লাহর ফরমান অনুযায়ী দৌড়তে দৌড়তে অতি তাড়াতাড়ি হাশরের মাঠে হাযির হয়ে যাবে। এই সময়টি হবে কাফিরদের উপর অত্যন্ত কঠিন। আল্লাহ তা'আলা বলেনঃ (আরবী) অর্থাৎ “যেদিন তিনি তোমাদেরকে ডাক দিবেন তখন তোমরা তাঁর প্রশংসাসহ তার আহ্বানে সাড়া দিবে এবং তোমরা ধারণা করবে যে, তোমরা খুব অল্পই বসবাস করেছো।” (১৭:৫২)।হযরত আনাস (রাঃ) হতে বর্ণিত আছে যে, রাসূলুল্লাহ (সঃ) বলেছেনঃ “সর্বপ্রথম আমার কবরের যমীন ফেটে যাবে।”আল্লাহ তা'আলা বলেনঃ “এই সমবেত সমাবেশকরণ আমার জন্যে সহজ।

যেমন মহামহিমান্বিত আল্লাহ অন্য জায়গায় বলেনঃ (আরবী) অর্থাৎ “আমার হুকুম একবার ছাড়া নয়, চক্ষু অবনত হওয়ার মত।” (৫৪:৫০) অন্য আয়াতে রয়েছেঃ (আরবী) অর্থাৎ “তোমাদের সকলকে সৃষ্টি করা এবং মৃত্যুর পর পুনর্জীবিত করা একটি প্রাণকে মেরে পুনর্জীবিত করার মতই (অতি সহজ), নিশ্চয়ই আল্লাহ শ্রবণকারী, দর্শনকারী।” (৩১:২৮)।মহামহিমান্বিত আল্লাহ বলেনঃ ‘তারা যা বলে তা আমি জানি (এতে তুমি মন খারাপ করো না)। যেমন আল্লাহ তাবারাকা ওয়া তা'আলা অন্য জায়গায় বলেনঃ (আরবী) অর্থাৎ “ (হে নবী সঃ)!

অবশ্যই আমি জানি যে, তারা যা বলছে এতে তোমার মন সংকীর্ণ হচ্ছে। (কিন্তু তুমি সংকীর্ণমনা হয়ে না বা মন খারাপ করো না, বরং) তুমি তোমার প্রতিপালকের সপ্রশংস পবিত্রতা ও মহিমা ঘোষণা কর এবং সিজদাকারীদের অর্থাৎ নামাযীদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত হও। আর তোমার পতিপালকের ইবাদতে লেগে থাকো যে পর্যন্ত না তোমার মৃত্যু হয়। (১৫:৯৭-৯৯)এরপর আল্লাহ তা'আলা বলেনঃ “তুমি তাদের উপর জবরদস্তিকারী নও’ অর্থাৎ তুমি তাদেরকে জোরপূর্বক হিদায়াতের উপর আনতে পার না এবং এরূপ করতে আদিষ্টও নও।

এও অর্থ হয়ঃ তুমি তাদের উপর জোর-জবরদস্তি করো না। কিন্তু প্রথম উক্তিটিই উত্তম। কেননা, শব্দে ‘তুমি তাদের উপর জোর-জবরদস্তি করো না এরূপ নেই। বরং আছে- তুমি তাদের উপর জাব্বার নও। অর্থাৎ “হে নবী! তুমি শুধু তাবলীগ করেই তোমার কর্তব্য সমাপ্ত কর। (আরবী) শব্দটি (আরবী) শব্দের অর্থেও এসে থাকে। মহান আল্লাহ বলেনঃ “যে আমার শাস্তিকে ভয় করে তাকে তুমি উপদেশ দান কর কুরআনের সাহায্যে। অর্থাৎ যার অন্তরে আল্লাহর ভয় আছে, তার শাস্তিকে যে ভয় করে এবং তাঁর রহমতের আশা করে, তাকে তুমি কুরআনের মাধ্যমে উপদেশ দাও।

এতে সে অবশ্যই উপকৃত হবে এবং সঠিক পথে চলে আসবে। যেমন আল্লাহ পাক অন্য আয়াতে বলেনঃ (আরবী) অর্থাৎ “তোমার দয়িত্ব শুধু পৌছিয়ে দেয়া এবং হিসাব গ্রহণের দায়িত্ব আমার।” (১৩:৪০) আর এক জায়গায় আছেঃ (আরবী) অর্থাৎ “অতএব তুমি উপদেশ দাও, তুমি তো একজন উপদেশদাতা। তুমি তাদের কর্মনিয়ন্ত্রক নও।” (৮৮:২১-২২)।অন্য এক জায়গায় রয়েছেঃ (আরবী) অর্থাৎ “তাদেরকে হিদায়াত করা তোমার দায়িত্ব নয়, বরং আল্লাহ যাকে চান হিদায়াত দান করে থাকেন।” (২:২৭২) অন্য এক জায়গায় বলেনঃ (আরবী) অর্থাৎ “তুমি যাকে ভালবাস তাকে তুমি হিদায়াত দান করতে পার না, বরং আল্লাহ যাকে চান হিদায়াত দান করে থাকেন।” (২৮:৫৬) এজন্যেই আল্লাহ তা'আলা এখানে বলেনঃ “তুমি তাদের উপর জবরদস্তিকারী নও, সুতরাং যে আমার শাস্তিকে ভয় করে তাকে তুমি উপদেশ দান কর কুরআনের সাহায্যে।হযরত কাতাদা (রঃ) দু'আ করতেনঃ (আরবী) অর্থাৎ “হে আল্লাহ!

যারা আপনার শাস্তিকে ভয় করে এবং আপনার নিয়ামতের আশা রাখে, আমাদেরকে আপনি তাদেরই অন্তর্ভুক্ত করুন! হে অনুগ্রহশীল, হে করুণাময়!”
