Surah 8 · verse 67

مَا كَانَ لِنَبِيٍّ أَن يَكُونَ لَهُۥٓ أَسۡرَىٰ حَتَّىٰ يُثۡخِنَ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِۚ تُرِيدُونَ عَرَضَ ٱلدُّنۡيَا وَٱللَّهُ يُرِيدُ ٱلۡأٓخِرَةَۗ وَٱللَّهُ عَزِيزٌ حَكِيمࣱ‏۝٦٧

67. It is not for a prophet to have captives [of war] until he inflicts a massacre [upon Allah 's enemies] in the land. Some Muslims desire the commodities of this world, but Allah desires [for you] the Hereafter. And Allah is Exalted in Might and Wise

৬৭. কোনো নবীর জন্য সংগত নয় যে তার নিকট যুদ্ধবন্দি থাকবে, যতক্ষণ না তিনি যমীনে (তাদের) রক্ত প্রবাহিত করেন। তোমরা কামনা কর পার্থিব সম্পদ এবং আল্লাহ্‌ চান আখেরাত; আর আল্লাহ্‌ পরাক্রমশালী, প্রজ্ঞাময়।
