حدثنا بقية، والحكم بن نافع، وعبد القدوس، عن صفوان بن عمرو، قال: حدثني أبو المثنى ضمضم الأملوكي، عن كعب، أنه أتى صفين فلما رأى الحجارة التي على ظهر الطريق وقف ينظر إليها، فقال له صاحب له: ما تنظر يا أبا إسحاق؟ قال: «وجدت نعتها في الكتب، أن بني إسرائيل اقتتلوا بها تسع مرات حتى تفانوا، وأن العرب سيقتتلون بها العاشرة حتى يتفانوا، أو يتقاذفون بالحجارة التي تقاذفت بها بنو إسرائيل»

আমি কিতাবসমূহে এর বর্ণনা পেয়েছি যে, বনী ইসরাঈলরা ধ্বংস না হওয়া পর্যন্ত নয়বার এর সাথে যুদ্ধ করেছে এবং তারা ধ্বংস না হওয়া পর্যন্ত আরবরা দশম বার এর সাথে যুদ্ধ করবে অথবা বনী ইসরাঈলরা যে পাথর দিয়ে যুদ্ধ করেছে তা তারা নিক্ষেপ করবে।

I found its description in the books, that the Children of Israel fought with it nine times until they were destroyed, and that the Arabs would fight with it the tenth time until they were destroyed, or they would throw stones with which the Children of Israel fought.
