حدثنا الوليد، عن ابن لهيعة، عن الحارث بن يزيد الحضرمي، عن الفضل بن عفيف الدؤلي، عن عبد الله بن عمرو، أنه قال: " يا معشر اليمن، تقولون: إن المنصور منكم، والذي نفسي بيده إنه لقرشي أبوه، ولو أشاء أن أسميه إلى أقصى جد هو له لفعلت "

আল-ওয়ালিদ আমাদেরকে বলেছেন, ইবনে লাহিয়ার সূত্রে, আল-হারিস ইবনে ইয়াজিদ আল-হাদরামি, আল-ফাদল ইবনে আফিফ আল-দুআলির বরাত দিয়ে, আবদুল্লাহ ইবনে আমরের সূত্রে, তিনি বলেছিলেন: “হে ইয়েমেনবাসী, তোমরা বলছ: আল-মানসুর যার হাতে, তিনিই তোমাদের মধ্যে একজনের হাতে। কুরাইশ, এবং আমি যদি তার নামটি সম্পূর্ণরূপে তার নাম বলতে চাই তবে আমি তা করতাম।"

Al-Walid told us, on the authority of Ibn Lahi’ah, on the authority of Al-Harith bin Yazid Al-Hadrami, on the authority of Al-Fadl bin Afif Al-Du’ali, on the authority of Abdullah bin Amr, that he said: “O people of Yemen, you say: Al-Mansour is among you, and by the One in whose hand my soul is, he is his father’s Quraysh, and if I wanted to name him to the fullest extent that is his, I would have done so.”
