حدثنا ابن المبارك، عن عوف، عن قسامة بن زهير، قال: بلغني أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: " مثلي ومثلكم ومثل الساعة كقوم خافوا العدو، فبعثوا ربيئة لهم قريب، فلما أبصر الربيئة غارة القوم خاف إن هبط من موضعه يؤذن قومه أن تبدره الغارة إلى قومه، فلوى بثوبه في مكانه ونادى: يا صباحاه "

Ibn al-Mubarak told us, on the authority of Awf, on the authority of Qasamah bin Zuhair, he said: I was informed that the Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s prayers and peace be upon him) said: “Like me and you and the likeness of the Hour is a people who feared the enemy, so they sent a rabbi to them close by. When the rabbi saw the raid of the people, he feared that if he descended from his place giving the call to his people that the raid would come to his people, so he twisted his garment in place and called out: O morning.”
