A Cry in Ramadan
A 'cry' or voice heard in Ramadan is reported among the tribulations before the Mahdi. The reports are weak, coming mainly through Nu'aym's Kitab al-Fitan.
Reports in Nu'aym's Kitab al-Fitan mention 'a voice in Ramadan, an uproar in Shawwal, and in Dhu al-Qa'da the tribes take sides', among the disturbances preceding the Mahdi (e.g. Kitab al-Fitan, reports 629 and 631). These chains are weak and the collection is ungraded.
Placed in the weak Mahdi-era reports; it is not established by sound narration and carries no date.
Nu'aym ibn Hammad's Kitab al-Fitan is weak overall and ungraded, so its reports are shown here as material under study, never as established signs. A Ramadan cry is mentioned by some scholars of the Mahdi narrations, but the sahih and hasan corpus does not establish it, and it must never be tied to any year or event.
Weigh reports by their authenticity: hold to what the sound narrations teach, and treat weak, unverified reports as neither belief nor a timetable.
