Naeem told us, Abu Al-Mughirah told us, on the authority of Safwan, he said: Some of our sheikhs told us, he said: “A man came to us while I was staying, when I was circumcised with a vein, and he said: Is there anyone to stay tonight?” So they went down, and there was a man worthy of goodness when you looked at him, as if he was seeking knowledge, and he said: Do you have knowledge of Susiya? They said: Yes, he said: Where is it? We said: Khirbat towards the sea. He said: Does it have a spring to which one can go down with stairs and fresh cold water? They said: Yes, he said: Is there a ruined fortress next to it? They said: Yes, we said: Who are you, Abdullah? He said: I am a braver man. They said: What is the matter with what you mentioned? He said: The Roman ships will approach at sea until they land near that spring, and they will burn their ships. Then the people of Damascus will send to them and they will stay for three days. They will invite them to evacuate the country for them, but they will refuse, so the immigrants will fight them, and it will be the first day of killing in both groups, and the second day. On the enemy, and the third, Allah will defeat them, and only the smallest of them will reach their ships, and they have burned many ships, and they said: We will not leave this country, and Allah will defeat them. The Muslims described that day as the shoes of the ruined tower, and while they were like that, Allah had defeated their enemy until he came coming from behind them, and told them that the people of Qinnasrin had arrived and were heading to Damascus, and that the Romans had attacked them, and there was a rendezvous with them on land and sea, so the Muslim stronghold on that day would be in Damascus.
