I warn you of seven trials that will come after me: a trial that will come from Medina, a trial from Mecca, a trial that will come from Yemen, a trial that will come from the Levant, a trial that will come from the East, a trial that will come from the West, and a trial that will come from the interior of the Levant, which is the trial of the Sufyani.

The one in the Levant, meaning Marwan, by Allah, fights only for the sake of this world, and the one in Mecca, meaning Ibn al-Zubayr, by Allah, fights only for the sake of this world, and those whom you call your readers, by Allah, fights only for the sake of this world. I do not see the best of people except a cluttered gang, empty stomachs from people’s money, thin in appearance from their blood.

I was a man from the people of Mecca, and I had my birth, my home, and my money. I did not stay there until Allah Almighty sent His Prophet, ﷺ. So I believed in him and followed him, so I stayed there as long as Allah wanted me to stay. Then I left it and fled with my religion to Medina, and I did not stay there until Allah gathered my money and family for me, and today I am fleeing with my religion from Medina to Mecca just as I fled with my religion from Mecca to Medina.

Al-Hakam bin Nafi told us ، About Jarrah ، On the authority of Artat bin Al-Mundhir ، He said: “The Berbers come and camp between Palestine and Jordan ، Then the crowds of the East and Syria will march towards them until they stop the tax collector ، A man emerges from Weld Sakhr in weakness ، He throws the Moroccan armies on the Bisan fold and deters them from it ، Then he will meet them the next day and deter them from it ، They side with her ، Then he will meet them on the third day and drive them back to the spring of the wind ، Then the death of their leader comes to them, and they separate into three groups: one group turns back on its heels ، And a group joins the Hijaz ، A band follows Al-Sakhri ، He walks to the rest of their crowd until he comes to Thanyat Fayq ، And they meet her ، Vidal rocks them ، Then you turn to the masses of the East and the Levant and meet them ، He guides them between the reward and the waste ، Until the horses wade in blood ، The people of the Levant kill their president ، They side with Al-Sakhri, who enters Damascus and represents him there ، Banners will emerge from the East, blackened ، They descend on Kufa and their leader hides there ، He does not know his location ، And that army will rise ، Then a man who had been hidden in the depths of the valley comes out and is in command of that army ، Its main source was anger at what Al-Sakhri did to his family ، He marches with the soldiers of the East towards the Levant ، Al-Sakhri reaches his destination and heads the soldiers of the people of Morocco towards him ، They meet the mountain of pebbles ، A lot of world will perish between them ، And the Mashriqi leaves ، The rock follows it and overtakes it in Qarqesya at the complex of the two rivers and they meet ، Their patience exhausts them, and seven of the Levantine soldiers are killed out of every ten ، Then Al-Sakhri's soldiers entered Kufa and attacked its people ، He directs a soldier from the Maghreb to the soldiers from the East next to him ، Then they will bring him their captives ، Perhaps this is the case when the news of the Mahdi’s appearance in Mecca comes to him ، Then a delegation will be sent to him from Kufa, and he will be eclipsed by it.” Artah said: “And he will be between the people of the West and the people of the East at the bridge of Fustat for seven days.” ، Then they meet Al-Arish, and the people of the East will be defeated until they reach the Jordan ، Then the Sufyani will come out after them ، The Romans who were in Homs were afraid of the Berbers ، And they say: Woe to you, Tamra, from the Berbers.

Then another man from among them emerges between Taif and Mecca, or between Mecca and Medina, from the trees, the trees, the trees, in the Hijaz, with a disfigured appearance, a shaved head, bruised forearms, and sunken eyes. Al-Sufyani enters Kufa and takes it captive for three days, and kills sixty thousand of its people. Then he stays there for eighteen nights, dividing its wealth. He enters Kufa after fighting the Turks and Romans in Qirqisa. Then he splits a gap on them from behind them, and a group of them returns to Khurasan. He kills the horses of Al-Sufyani and demolishes the forts until he enters Kufa. He seeks the people of Khurasan, and a people calling for the Mahdi will appear in Khurasan. Then he sends Al-Sufyani to Medina. Then he takes a group of people from the family of Muhammad until he returns them to Kufa, then Al-Mahdi and Mansour leave Kufa on the run, and Al-Sufyani sends in search of them. When Al-Mahdi and Mansour reach Mecca, the Sufyani’s army descends on Al-Bayda and overwhelms them. Then Al-Mahdi goes out until he passes through Medina and rescues those who were in it from Bani Hashim. The black flags come forward until they descend on the water, and the Sufyani’s companions in Kufa inform of their landing and they flee, then he descends on Kufa to rescue those in it from Bani Hashim, and a people called the Asab emerge from the black of Kufa. They have no weapons except a few, and among them is a group of the people of Basra. They overtake the companions of the Sufyani and rescue what is in their hands from the captives of Kufa, and the black banners send out the pledge of allegiance to the Mahdi.

Ibn Wahb told us, on the authority of Ibn Lahi’ah, he told them, on the authority of Khalid bin Abi Imran, on the authority of Hanash bin Abdullah, he heard Ibn Abbas, (may Allah be pleased with him) say: “There will be a caliph from the Banu Hashim in Medina, and some of them will go to Mecca, and when they present it, the ruler of Mecca sends to them: What has brought you, do you think you will find relief with us? One of them has included his sword in his dress, and he says: Who forced you to kill our friend? He says: He made me angry. He says: Bear witness, O Muslims, that he killed him because he made him angry. So he draws his sword and strikes him with it. Then they side with Taif, and the people of Mecca say: By Allah, if we leave these people until news of them reaches the Caliph, he will destroy us. He said: Then they march to them, and the Hashemites call out to them: Allah, Allah is in our blood. And your blood, you have learned that he killed our friend unjustly, so they will not turn away from them until they fight them and defeat them, and seize Mecca, and the owner of Medina informs them of their matter, and they say: By Allah, if we leave them, we will face calamity from the Caliph. Then the owner of Medina sends an army to them and they defeat them, and if the Caliph sends an army to them, they will be the ones he will annihilate.”

Rushdin told us, on the authority of Ibn Lahi’ah, on the authority of Abu Qabil, on the authority of Sa’id ibn al-Aswad, on the authority of Yusuf ibn Dhi Qarnat, who said: “There will be a caliph in the Levant who will invade Medina, and when the people of Medina hear that the army is coming to them, seven of them will go to Mecca, and they will belittle it. Then the owner of Medina will write to the owner of Mecca: If so-and-so and so-and-so comes to you, calling them by name, then kill them. The ruler of Mecca will magnify that, and then they will conspire among themselves, so they will come to him at night and seek protection from him, and he will say: Get out. They are safe, so they go out. Then he sends for two men from among them, and one of them is killed, and the other looks on. Then he returns to his companions, and they go out until they descend on a mountain from the mountains of Taif, where they stay there. They are sent to the people, and people flock to them. If that is the case, the people of Mecca invade them and defeat them. They enter Mecca, kill its prince, and remain there until, when it collapses, the army regains its command and goes out.

Then the people of Medina will be informed and the army will go out to them, and whoever of the family of Muhammad (may Allah’s prayers and peace be upon him) will flee from it to Mecca, the strong carrying the weak, the old the young, and they will catch a person from the family of Muhammad (may Allah’s prayers and peace be upon him) and slaughter him at the oil stones.

Muhammad bin Abdullah Al-Tahirti told us, on the authority of Abdul Salam bin Maslama, he heard Abu Qabil say: “The Sufyani sends an army to Medina and orders the killing of everyone who is there, from Bani Hashim to the pregnant ones. This is what Al-Hashimi does when he comes out to his companions from the East. He says: What is this whole calamity? My companions were killed except before them. He orders them to be killed, and they are killed until no one of them is known in Medina, and they disperse from it, fleeing to the valleys and mountains, and to Mecca, until... His army puts the sword on them for days, then stops them, and none of them appear except fearful until the Mahdi’s command appears in Mecca. Every guide among them gathered to him in Mecca.”

So he departs to Then he returns and does not see anyone, then he finds that they have collapsed, so he says: Glory be to Allah. They departed in one hour. Then he comes to their house and finds some of the velvet that has collapsed, and some of it on the surface of the ground. He handles it and cannot bear it. He knows that they have collapsed, so he goes to the ruler of Mecca and gives him the good news. Then the ruler of Mecca says: Praise be to Allah, this is the sign that you were reporting, so they go to the Levant.
