Introduction

"সাত আসমান, সাত জমিন, এগুলোর মধ্যে যা কিছু আছে এবং এগুলোর মাঝে যা রয়েছে, কুরসীর তুলনায় তা কেবল একটি সুবিশাল মরুভূমিতে ফেলে রাখা একটি আংটির মতো; আর আরশের তুলনায় কুরসীও ঠিক সেই মরুপ্রান্তরে পড়ে থাকা সেই আংটির মতো; এবং মহান পরাক্রমশালী আল্লাহ ছাড়া আরশের প্রকৃত বিশালতা ও মহিমা কেউ পরিমাপ করতে পারে না।"

"The seven heavens, the seven earths, whatever is within them and whatever is between them, compared to the Kursi (Footstool), are nothing but like a ring thrown in a vast desert; and the Kursi compared to the Throne (al-'Arsh) is nothing but like that ring in that desert; and none can comprehend the magnitude of the Throne except Allah, the Mighty and Majestic."

কখনো কখনো এই কুরসীকে 'আরশ' নামেও অভিহিত করা হয়, আর এটি কিছু হাদিসে বর্ণিত হয়েছে, যেমনটি সহিহাইনে (বুখারি ও মুসলিম) এসেছে:

This Kursi is sometimes referred to as the 'Arsh (Throne), and this has occurred in some hadiths, as recorded in the Two Sahihs:

"সাত শ্রেণির মানুষ, যাদের আল্লাহ তাঁর আরশের ছায়াতলে আশ্রয় দেবেন সেই দিন, যেদিন তাঁর ছায়া ব্যতীত আর কোনো ছায়া থাকবে না," [১]

"Seven whom Allah will shade under the shade of His Throne on the Day when there will be no shade except His shade," [1]

আর সহিহ বুখারিতে ইমাম যুহরী থেকে, তিনি আবু সালামাহ ও আব্দুর রহমান আল-আ'রাজ থেকে, এবং তাঁরা আবু হুরায়রা (রাদিয়াল্লাহু আনহু) থেকে বর্ণিত হাদিসে সাব্যস্ত হয়েছে যে, রাসুলুল্লাহ (ﷺ) বলেছেন:

And it is established in Sahih al-Bukhari from the hadith of al-Zuhri, from Abu Salamah and 'Abd al-Rahman al-A'raj, from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:

"যখন কিয়ামত কায়েম হবে, তখন মানুষ জ্ঞান হারিয়ে বেহুঁশ হয়ে পড়বে, আর আমিই হব প্রথম ব্যক্তি যে হুঁশ ফিরে পাবে..."

"When the Day of Resurrection comes, the people will be struck unconscious, and I will be the first to regain consciousness..."
