کتاب الفتن · نُعیم بن حماد

Events in Ramadan, battles in Shawwal, catastrophes in Dhul-Qa'dah, and striking of necks in Dhul-Hijjah, and in that year he will be jealous of the Hajj.

The two events are in Ramadan, the haysh is in Shawwal, the calamities are in Dhul-Qa’dah, the battle is in Dhu’l-Hijjah, and the fulfillment is in Muharram. I have been waiting for these two events for seventy years.

If you see a man being a greedy man, admiring his own opinion, then he will be lost

Baqiyya, Abd al-Quddus, and al-Hakam bin Nafi told us, on the authority of Safwan, on the authority of Abd al-Rahman bin Jubair bin Nufayr, “on the authority of Heraclius, the great Roman, who said: Our example and the example of the Arabs is like a man who had a house and people settled in it, so he said: Inhabit what you have put right, and be careful not to spoil it. So he took you out of it, so they lived in it for a period of time, then he looked at them and saw that they had spoiled it, so he took them out of it, and he brought others and settled them in it, and he stipulated for them as he stipulated on Those before them, the land of the Levant, and its Lord, Allah Almighty, inhabited it with the Children of Israel, and they were its inhabitants for a time, then they changed and corrupted, so he looked at them and expelled them from it and settled them after them for a period, then he looked at us and found that we had changed and corrupted, so he removed us from it and settled you in it, Arabs.

Abdullah bin Marwan told us, on the authority of Artat, on the authority of Tabi’, on the authority of Ka’b, who said: “There are three trials that will occur in the Levant: the trial of bloodshed, the trial of severing ties of kinship and the plundering of money, then followed by the trial of the Maghreb, which is blindness.”

If the people of Syria perish, there will be no good for my nation

The people of the Levant are the scourge of Allah in His land. He takes revenge on them on whomever He wishes of His servants, and it is forbidden for their hypocrites to prevail over their believers, and they do not die except in grief and anxiety.

Every tribulation is roasted until it is in the Levant, and if it is in the Levant, then it is the summer, and it is the darkness

Sedition will still stagnate as long as it does not start from the Levant

O people, do not consider temptations to be anything until they come from the Levant, which is blind

The West is blind

Meh, do not insult the people of the Levant, there are many people, for among them are the Abdal

Abdul Quddus and Amr bin Al-Harith told us, they said: Abdullah bin Salem Al-Homsi told us, on the authority of Ali bin Abi Talha, on the authority of Ka’b, who said: “Allah Almighty created the world in the position of a bird, so He made the two wings the east and the west, and He made the head the Levant, and He made the top of the head hummus, and in it is the beak, and if the beak decreases, the people disagree, and He made the neck Damascus, and in it is the heart, so if the heart moves, the body moves, and the head has two blows: a blow from the wing.” The eastern wing is on Damascus, and a blow is from the western wing and it is on Homs, and it is the heaviest of them. Then the head approaches the wings and plucks them out, feather by feather.”

There will be a trial in the Levant in which it will sway like water swells in a waterskin, revealing you while you are regretting severe hunger, and the smell of bread in it will be sweeter than the smell of musk.

If you see in the Levant white palaces with their heads towards the sky, and trees planted in them that were not planted in the time of Noah, then the matter has come down to you.

The head of the earth is the Levant, its wings are Egypt and Iraq, the tails are the Hijaz, and the goshawks are skinned on the tails.

The people still have a period of time until the head knocks, and if the head knocks, the people will perish, and the Levant will be devastated

The earth will be destroyed forty years before the Levant

Basra and Egypt are the two wings of the earth, and if they are destroyed, the matter will happen

The world was represented on a bird. Basra and Egypt are two wings, and if they are destroyed, the matter will happen

There will be a turmoil in the Levant in which bribes and nobles will rise, then their fools and lowlifes will increase in it until their leaders will be enslaved as they used to enslave them before that.

Ibn al-Mubarak and Abd al-Razzaq told us, on the authority of Muammar, on the authority of a man, on the authority of Sa`id ibn al-Musayyab, who said: “There will be strife in the Levant whenever it calms on one side or the other, and it will not stop until a caller calls from the sky: Your prince is so-and-so.”

Allah Almighty created a thousand nations, six hundred on the sea and four hundred on land, and the first thing among these nations is the destruction of the locusts. When they are destroyed, they follow one another like a system if its cord is cut.

If the strife of Palestine erupts, it will be repeated in the Levant, like the water in the water bottle, and then it will clear up when it clears up, and you will regret it a few times.

Muhammad bin Muhajir said, and Al-Junaid bin Maimun told me, on the authority of Safwan bin Amr, on the authority of Abu Hurairah, (may Allah be pleased with him) who said: “The fourth trial is blind and dark, passing through the sea. Someone says: Mh Mh, and they do not patch it on one side except that it splits on one side. A man in it becomes a believer and comes in the evening an unbeliever, and no one is saved from it except one who prays like the supplication of drowning in the sea. It lasts for twelve years. It clears up when it clears, and the Euphrates has receded from a mountain of gold, so they fight over it until seven out of every nine are killed.
