Continuation of Hadith 254: Clarifications and Sections on the Traits and Signs of the Mahdi

تتمة الحديث 254: تنبيهات وفصول في صفة المهدي وعلامات ظهوره

فأشار بذلك إلى ما قاله العلماء أن المهدي أحد الإثنا عشر, فإنه لم يقع إلي الآن وجود إثنى عشر اجتمعت الأمة على كل منهم

এর দ্বারা তিনি আলিমগণের সেই বক্তব্যের প্রতি ইঙ্গিত করেছেন যে, মাহদী হলেন সেই বারোজন খলীফার একজন; কেননা বর্তমান সময় পর্যন্ত এমন বারোজনের অস্তিত্ব পাওয়া যায়নি যাদের প্রত্যেকের ওপর গোটা উম্মাহ সর্বসম্মতভাবে ঐক্যবদ্ধ হয়েছে।

Thus, he indicated by this what the scholars have stated: that al-Mahdi is one of the twelve, for up until now there has not occurred the existence of twelve caliphs upon each of whom the Ummah (Muslim community) has unanimously agreed.
