حتى نقاتل مرة أخرى فنقتل في سبيلك".

"...যাতে আমরা পুনরায় যুদ্ধ করতে পারি এবং তোমার পথে শহীদ হতে পারি।"

"...so that we may fight once more and be slain in Your cause."

وخرج أبو الشيخ الأصبهاني وغيره من طريق عبد الله بن ميمون عن عمه مصعب بن سليم عن أنس أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: "يبعث الله الشهداء من حواصل طير بيض كانوا في قناديل معلقة بالعرش".

আবু আল-শায়খ আল-আসবাহানী ও অন্যান্যরা আব্দুল্লাহ ইবনে মায়মুনের সূত্রে, তিনি তাঁর চাচা মুসআব ইবনে সালিম থেকে, তিনি আনাস (রাদিয়াল্লাহু আনহু) থেকে বর্ণনা করেছেন যে নবী (ﷺ) বলেছেন: "আল্লাহ শহীদদের এমন শ্বেতশুভ্র পাখির পেট থেকে পুনরুত্থিত করবেন, যা আরশের সাথে ঝুলন্ত প্রদীপের মধ্যে ছিল।"

Abu al-Shaykh al-Asbahani and others narrated through the transmission of 'Abdullah ibn Maymun, from his uncle Mus'ab ibn Salim, from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him), that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Allah will resurrect the martyrs from the crops of white birds that were in lanterns suspended from the Throne."

وخرج الإمام أحمد والترمذي وصححه من حديث عمرو بن دينار عن الزهري عن عبد الرحمن بن كعب بن مالك عن أبيه أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: "أرواح الشهداء في طير خضر تعلق من شجر الجنة" 1 كذلك رواه عمرو عن الزهري ورواه سائر أصحاب الزهري عنه ولم يذكروا: الشهداء إنما ذكروا نسمة المؤمن وسيأتي حديثهم إن شاء الله.

Imam Ahmad and al-Tirmidhi, who graded it authentic (sahih), narrated from the hadith of 'Amr ibn Dinar, from al-Zuhri, from 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Ka'b ibn Malik, from his father, that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "The souls of the martyrs are in green birds that feed upon the trees of Paradise." Thus 'Amr narrated it from al-Zuhri, whereas the rest of the companions of al-Zuhri narrated it from him without mentioning 'the martyrs', but rather mentioning 'the soul of the believer', and their hadith will follow, if Allah wills.

وقد ذكرنا فيم تقدم حديث عبادة بن عيسى بن عبد الرحمن عن الزهري عن عامر بن سعد عن إسماعيل بن طلحة بن عبيد الله عن أبيه عن النبي - صلى الله عليه وسلم - في شهداء أحد وهو منكر وأبو عبدة هذا: ضعيف جدا.

আমরা ইতিপূর্বে উহুদের শহীদদের ব্যাপারে উবাদাহ ইবনে ঈসা ইবনে আব্দুর রহমানের সূত্রে, যুহরী থেকে, আমির ইবনে সা'দ থেকে, ইসমাইল ইবনে তালহা ইবনে উবাইদুল্লাহ থেকে এবং তিনি তাঁর পিতার সূত্রে নবী (ﷺ) থেকে বর্ণিত হাদিসটি উল্লেখ করেছি; এটি একটি মুনকার (অগ্রহণযোগ্য) হাদিস, এবং এই আবু উবাদাহ অত্যন্ত দুর্বল বর্ণনাকারী।

We have previously mentioned the hadith of 'Ubadah ibn 'Isa ibn 'Abd al-Rahman, from al-Zuhri, from 'Amir ibn Sa'd, from Isma'il ibn Talhah ibn 'Ubaydullah, from his father, from the Prophet (ﷺ) concerning the martyrs of Uhud; it is a rejected (munkar) narration, and this Abu 'Ubadah is extremely weak.

وخرج ابن منده من طريق يحيى بن صالح عن سعيد بن سويد أنه سأل ابن شهاب عن أرواح المؤمنين قال: بلغني أن أرواح الشهداء كطير خضر معلقة بالعرش تغدوا ثم تروح إلى رياض الجنة تأتي ربها سبحانه كل يوم تسلم عليه وهذا أشبه.

ইবনে মান্দাহ ইয়াহইয়া ইবনে সালিহের সূত্রে, সাঈদ ইবনে সুওয়াইদ থেকে বর্ণনা করেছেন যে, তিনি ইবনে শিহাবকে মুমিনদের আত্মা সম্পর্কে জিজ্ঞেস করেছিলেন। তিনি বললেন: "আমার কাছে পৌঁছেছে যে, শহীদদের আত্মা সবুজ পাখির ন্যায় যা আরশের সাথে ঝুলন্ত থাকে; তারা সকাল-সন্ধ্যায় জান্নাতের বাগিচায় বিচরণ করে এবং প্রতিদিন তাদের মহান প্রতিপালকের নিকট এসে তাঁকে সালাম পেশ করে।" আর এটিই অধিকতর সামঞ্জস্যপূর্ণ।

Ibn Mandah narrated through the transmission of Yahya ibn Salih, from Sa'id ibn Suwayd, that he asked Ibn Shihab about the souls of the believers. He said: "It has reached me that the souls of the martyrs are like green birds suspended from the Throne; they go out in the morning and return in the evening to the gardens of Paradise, coming to their Lord, the Glorified, every day to offer Him greetings of peace." And this is more plausible.

وكذا قال الضحاك وإبراهيم التميمي وغيرهما من السلف، في أرواح الشهداء وخرج بن منده من طريق عبد الرحمن بن زياد بن أنعم عن حبان بن أبي جبلة قال: بلغني أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: "إن الشهداء إذا استشهدوا أنزل الله جسدا كأحسن جسد ثم يقال لروحه: ادخلي فيه فينظر إلى جسده الأول ما يفعل به ويتكلم فيظن أنهم يسمعون كلامه وينظر فيظن أنهم يرونه حتى تأتيه أزواجه - يعني الحور العين - فيذهبن به".

দাহহাক, ইবরাহীম আত-তায়মী এবং পূর্বসূরি সালাফদের আরও অনেকে শহীদদের আত্মা সম্পর্কে অনুরূপ বলেছেন। ইবনে মান্দাহ আব্দুর রহমান ইবনে যিয়াদ ইবনে আন'উমের সূত্রে হিব্বান ইবনে আবী জাবালাহ থেকে বর্ণনা করেছেন, তিনি বলেন: আমার কাছে পৌঁছেছে যে রাসুলুল্লাহ (ﷺ) বলেছেন: "শহীদরা যখন শাহাদাত বরণ করেন, তখন আল্লাহ সর্বোত্তম আকৃতির একটি দেহ অবতীর্ণ করেন। অতঃপর তার আত্মাকে বলা হয়: 'এতে প্রবেশ করো।' তখন সে তার পূর্ববর্তী দেহের দিকে তাকিয়ে দেখে যে তার সাথে কী আচরণ করা হচ্ছে, এবং সে কথা বলে এই মনে করে যে তারা তার কথা শুনতে পাচ্ছে, এবং সে তাকিয়ে দেখে এই মনে করে যে তারা তাকে দেখতে পাচ্ছে; অবশেষে তার স্ত্রীগণ (অর্থাৎ আয়তলোচনা হুরগণ) তার কাছে আসে এবং তাকে নিয়ে যায়।"

Likewise, al-Dahhak, Ibrahim al-Taymi, and others among the Salaf said regarding the souls of the martyrs. Ibn Mandah also narrated through the transmission of 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Ziyad ibn An'um, from Hibban ibn Abi Jabalah, who said: It has reached me that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "When the martyrs are martyred, Allah sends down a body in the finest form, and it is then said to his soul: 'Enter into it.' Thereupon, he looks at his former body to see what is being done with it, and he speaks, thinking that they hear his speech, and he looks, thinking that they see him, until his wives (meaning the fair maidens of Paradise, al-Hur al-'Ayn) come to him and take him away."

ويشهد لهذه النصوص أيضا ما في الصحيحين، عن جابر: قال رجل يوم أحد: أين أنا إن قتلت يا رسول الله؟ قال: " في الجنة" فألقى تمرات كن في يده ثم قاتل

এই বিবরণগুলোর সমর্থনে সহীহাইনে (বুখারী ও মুসলিম) জাবির (রাদিয়াল্লাহু আনহু) থেকে বর্ণিত হাদিসটিও সাক্ষ্য দেয়: উহুদের দিন এক ব্যক্তি বললেন, "হে আল্লাহর রাসুল, আমি যদি নিহত হই তবে আমি কোথায় থাকব?" তিনি উত্তর দিলেন: "জান্নাতে।" তখন তিনি তাঁর হাতে থাকা খেজুরগুলো ফেলে দিলেন এবং যুদ্ধে ঝাঁপিয়ে পড়লেন।

What is also testified by these texts is that which is recorded in the two Sahihs, on the authority of Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him): A man asked on the day of Uhud, "Where shall I be if I am killed, O Messenger of Allah?" He replied: "In Paradise." So he cast away the dates that were in his hand and then fought.
