كغيره من الأئمة قتال الروم، وفتح القسطنطينية على يد المهدي، ففي صحيح مسلم : عن أبي هريرة، - رضي الله عنه - أن رسول الله - صلى الله عليه وسلم - قال: "هل سمعتم بمدينة جانب منها في البر، وجانب منها في البحر؟ " قالوا: نعم يا رسول الله. قال: "لا تقوم الساعة حتى يغزوها سبعون ألفا من بني إسحق، فإذا جاءوها نزلوا، فلم يقاتلوا بسلاح، ولم يرموا بسهم، فإذا قالوا لا إله إلا الله والله أكبر، سقط أحد جانبيها، ثم يقولون الثانية: لا إله إلا الله والله أكبر فيفرج لهم فيدخلونها، فيقتسمون، فبينما هم يقتسمون الغنائم إذ جاءهم الصريخ، فيقول: إن الدجال قد خرج، فيتركون كل شيء ويرجعون" انتهى.
- অন্যান্য ইমামগণের মতোই - ইমাম মাহদীর হাতে রোমকদের সাথে যুদ্ধ এবং কনস্টান্টিনোপল বিজয়ের বিষয়টিকে। কেননা সহীহ মুসলিমে আবূ হুরায়রা (রা.) হতে বর্ণিত রয়েছে যে, রাসূলুল্লাহ (ﷺ) ইরশাদ করেছেন: "তোমরা কি এমন একটি শহরের কথা শুনেছ যার এক পাশ স্থলে এবং অপর পাশ সমুদ্রে?" তারা বললেন: "হ্যাঁ, হে আল্লাহর রাসূল!" তিনি বললেন: "কিয়ামত সংঘটিত হবে না যতক্ষণ না ইসহাকের বংশধরদের সত্তর হাজার লোক তাতে আক্রমণ পরিচালনা করবে। যখন তারা সেখানে পৌঁছাবে, তারা ছাউনি ফেলবে; তারা কোনো অস্ত্র দিয়ে যুদ্ধ করবে না এবং কোনো তীরও নিক্ষেপ করবে না। যখন তারা বলবে, 'লা ইলাহা ইল্লাল্লাহু ওয়াল্লাহু আকবার' (আল্লাহ ছাড়া কোনো সত্য উপাস্য নেই এবং আল্লাহ সর্বশ্রেষ্ঠ), তখন তার এক পাশ ধসে পড়বে। অতঃপর তারা দ্বিতীয়বার বলবে: 'লা ইলাহা ইল্লাল্লাহু ওয়াল্লাহু আকবার', তখন তাদের জন্য পথ উন্মুক্ত হয়ে যাবে এবং তারা তাতে প্রবেশ করবে ও গণিমত বণ্টন করবে। এমতাবস্থায় যখন তারা গণিমত বণ্টন করতে থাকবে, তখন এক আর্তচিৎকারকারী তাদের কাছে এসে বলবে: 'দাজ্জাল আবির্ভূত হয়েছে!' ফলে তারা সবকিছু ফেলে রেখে ফিরে আসবে।" সমাপ্ত।
- just like other imams - regarding the battle against the Byzantines (al-Rum) and the conquest of Constantinople at the hands of the Mahdi. For in Sahih Muslim, on the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Have you heard of a city one side of which is on land and one side is in the sea?" When they reach it, they will encamp, and they will not fight with weapons nor shoot an arrow. When they say, 'There is no god but Allah, and Allah is the Greatest' (La ilaha illallah wallahu Akbar), one of its sides will fall. Then they say it a second time: 'There is no god but Allah, and Allah is the Greatest,' so an opening is made for them, and they enter it and distribute spoils. While they are distributing the spoils, a crier comes to them shouting: 'The Dajjal has emerged!' So they abandon everything and return." End of quote.
قال في "الإشاعة" : بعد أن ذكر فتح رومية، "ثم يأتون مدينة يقال لها: القاطع، طولها ألف ميل، وعرضها خمسمائة ميل، ولها ستون وثلثمائة باب، يخرج من كل باب مائة ألف مقاتل، وهي على البحر لا يحمل يعني: البحر فيه جارية" ، أي: سفينة قيل: يا رسول الله: ولم لا يحمل فيه جارية؟ قال: "لأنه ليس له قعر، وإنما يمرون من خلجان من ذلك البحر، جعلها الله منافع لبني آدم، لها قعور فهي تحمل السفن فيكبرون عليها أربع تكبيرات، فيسقط حائطها
"আল-ইশাআহ" গ্রন্থের লেখক রোম বিজয়ের বিবরণ উল্লেখ করার পর বলেন: "অতঃপর তারা 'আল-কাতি' নামক একটি নগরীতে উপস্থিত হবে, যার দৈর্ঘ্য এক হাজার মাইল এবং প্রস্থ পাঁচশত মাইল। এর তিনশত ষাটটি ফটক রয়েছে এবং প্রতিটি ফটক দিয়ে এক লক্ষ যোদ্ধা বের হয়। এটি এমন এক সাগরের তীরে অবস্থিত যা ধারণ করে না - অর্থাৎ সে সমুদ্র কোনো ভাসমান যানকে ভাসিয়ে রাখে না," অর্থাৎ কোনো জাহাজকে। আরয করা হলো: "হে আল্লাহর রাসূল! কেন তা কোনো জাহাজকে ভাসিয়ে রাখে না?" তিনি বললেন: "কেননা এর কোনো তলদেশ নেই; বরং তারা সেই সাগরের বিভিন্ন খাঁড়ি ও প্রণালী দিয়ে যাতায়াত করে, যেগুলোকে আল্লাহ আদম সন্তানের কল্যাণের মাধ্যম বানিয়েছেন, যেগুলোর তলদেশ রয়েছে এবং তা জাহাজ বহন করতে পারে। অতঃপর তারা শহরটির বিরুদ্ধে চারটি তাকবীর দেবে, ফলে এর প্রাচীর ধসে পড়বে
The author of "al-Isha'ah" stated after mentioning the conquest of Rome: "Then they will come to a city called al-Qati', whose length is one thousand miles and whose width is five hundred miles. It possesses three hundred and sixty gates, and from each gate emerge one hundred thousand combatants. It lies upon a sea that does not bear - meaning the sea does not carry - any vessel," that is, any ship. It was said: "O Messenger of Allah, why does it not bear a vessel?" He said: "Because it has no bottom; rather, they traverse through gulfs and channels of that sea which Allah has made useful for the children of Adam, which possess bottoms and thus can carry ships. So they will pronounce four Takbirs over the city, and its wall will fall
