الباب الأول في الأمارات البعيدة التي ظهرت وانقضت

ومنها كثرة الزلازل
الساعة حتى يقبض العلم وتكثر الزلازل، ويتقارب الزمان، وتظهر الفتن ويكثر الهرج"، وهو القتل .
"...কিয়ামত সংঘটিত হবে না যে পর্যন্ত না ইলম তুলে নেওয়া হবে, অধিক হারে ভূমিকম্প সংঘটিত হবে, সময় সংকুচিত হয়ে যাবে, ফিতনা প্রকাশ পাবে এবং হারজ বৃদ্ধি পাবে," আর হারজ হলো হত্যা।
"...the Hour until knowledge is seized, earthquakes become frequent, time contracts, tribulations appear, and al-Harj increases," which is killing.
وقد وقع أول خلافة المتوكل سنة اثنين وثلاثين ومائتين زلزلة مهولة بدمشق، سقطت منها دور وهلك تحتها خلق كثير، وامتدت إلى أنطاكية فهدمتها، وإلى الجزيرة فأحرقتها، وإلى الموصل فيقال: هلك من أهلها خمسون ألفا، وقد زلزلت زلازل كثيرة جدا، فلا نطيل بذكرها.
বস্তুত আল-মুতাওয়াক্কিলের খেলাফতের প্রারম্ভে দুইশত বত্রিশ হিজরি সনে দামেস্কে এক ভয়াবহ ভূমিকম্প সংঘটিত হয়েছিল, যার কারণে বহু ঘরবাড়ি ধসে পড়ে এবং তার নিচে চাপা পড়ে বহুসংখ্যক মানুষ প্রাণ হারায়। এটি আন্তাকিয়া পর্যন্ত বিস্তৃত হয় এবং তা ধ্বংস করে ফেলে, আল-জাযিরাহ পর্যন্ত ছড়িয়ে পড়ে তাকে বিধ্বস্ত করে এবং মওসিল পর্যন্ত পৌঁছায়; বলা হয়ে থাকে যে সেখানকার পঞ্চাশ হাজার অধিবাসী প্রাণ হারিয়েছিল। এছাড়াও অতি বিপুল সংখ্যক ভূমিকম্প সংঘটিত হয়েছে, সুতরাং সেগুলোর বিস্তারিত বিবরণ দিয়ে আমরা আলোচনা দীর্ঘায়িত করব না।
Indeed, at the beginning of the caliphate of al-Mutawakkil in the year two hundred and thirty-two, a terrifying earthquake struck Damascus, causing homes to collapse and destroying a vast number of people beneath them. It extended to Antioch and demolished it, to al-Jazirah and ruined it, and to Mosul, where it is said that fifty thousand of its inhabitants perished. Many earthquakes have indeed occurred, so we will not prolong this by detailing them.
ومنها المسخ والقذف ففي حديث عند الإمام أحمد ومسلم والحاكم عن ابن عمر - رضي الله عنهما - مرفوعا: "يكون في أمتي خسف ومسخ وقذف" .
এর অন্যতম নিদর্শন হলো সুরত বিকৃতি (মাসখ) এবং আকাশ থেকে প্রস্তরবর্ষণ (কাযফ)। ইমাম আহমাদ, মুসলিম ও আল-হাকিমের বর্ণনায় ইবনে উমর (রাদিয়াল্লাহু আনহুমা) থেকে মারফু সূত্রে বর্ণিত হয়েছে: "আমার উম্মতের মাঝে ভূমিধস (খাসফ), সুরত বিকৃতি (মাসখ) এবং আকাশ থেকে প্রস্তরবর্ষণ (কাযফ) সংঘটিত হবে।"
Among them are transformation (maskh) and pelting with stones (qadhf). In a hadith recorded by Imam Ahmad, Muslim, and al-Hakim on the authority of Ibn 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) as a marfu' narration: "There will occur in my nation caving into the earth (khasf), transformation into beasts (maskh), and pelting with stones from the sky (qadhf)."
