ফায়েদা: এ বিষয়ে ফকিহগণের বক্তব্য হলো: সেই রাতটি দুই রাত ও এক দিনের সমান, সুতরাং পাঁচটি সালাতের কাজা আদায় করতে হবে।
Benefit: Regarding this is the statement of the jurists: That night is equivalent to two nights and a day, so five prayers are to be made up.
فقال عمر بن الخطاب - رضي الله عنه - للنبي - صلى الله عليه وسلم -: وما باب التوبة؟ فقال: "يا عمر؛ خلق الله بابا للتوبة خلف المغرب، فهو من أبواب الجنة، له مصراعان من ذهب، مكللان بالدر والجواهر، ما بين المصراع إلى المصراع مسيرة أربعين عاما للراكب المسرع، فذلك الباب مفتوح منذ خلق الله خلقه إلى صبيحة تلك الليلة، عند طلوع الشمس والقمر من مغاربهما، ولم يتب عبد من عباد الله توبة نصوحا من لدن آدم إلى ذلك اليوم إلا ولجت تلك التوبة في ذلك الباب، ثم ترفع إلى الله".
অতঃপর উমর ইবনুল খাত্তাব (রাদিয়াল্লাহু আনহু) নবী (ﷺ)-কে বললেন: "আর তাওবার দরজাটি কী?" তিনি বললেন: "হে উমর, আল্লাহ তাআলা পশ্চিমের পশ্চাতে তাওবার একটি দরজা সৃষ্টি করেছেন, যা জান্নাতের দরজাগুলোর অন্যতম। এর দুটি পাল্লা স্বর্ণনির্মিত, যা মুক্তা ও মণি-মুক্তায় খচিত। এর এক পাল্লা থেকে অপর পাল্লার দূরত্ব একজন দ্রুতগামী অশ্বারোহীর চল্লিশ বছরের পথ। আল্লাহ তাঁর সৃষ্টির সূচনা করার পর থেকে সেই রাতের ভোর পর্যন্ত এ দরজাটি উন্মুক্ত রয়েছে, যখন সূর্য ও চন্দ্র তাদের অস্তাচল থেকে উদিত হবে। আদম (আ.)-এর যুগ থেকে শুরু করে সেই দিন পর্যন্ত আল্লাহর বান্দাদের মধ্যে যে কেউ খাঁটি তাওবা (তাওবাতুন নাসুহা) করেছে, তার সেই তাওবা এই দরজা দিয়ে প্রবেশ করেছে এবং অতঃপর তা আল্লাহর সমীপে উত্তোলিত হয়েছে।"
Umar ibn al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) said to the Prophet (ﷺ): "And what is the Gate of Repentance?" He replied: "O Umar, Allah created a gate for repentance behind the west; it is one of the gates of Paradise, having two leaves of gold encrusted with pearls and jewels. The distance between its two leaves is a journey of forty years for a swift rider. That gate has remained open ever since Allah created His creation until the morning of that night, when the sun and the moon rise from their place of setting. No servant among the servants of Allah has ever repented with sincere repentance from the time of Adam until that day, except that that repentance entered through that gate and was then raised to Allah."
فقال معاذ بن جبل - رضي الله عنه -: يا رسول الله؛ وما التوبة النصوح؟ قال: "أن يندم العبد علي الذنب الذي أصاب، فيهرب إلى الله منه، ثم لا يعود إليه حتي يعود اللبن في الضرع".
মুআজ ইবনে জাবাল (রাদিয়াল্লাহু আনহু) নিবেদন করলেন: "হে আল্লাহর রাসুল, তাওবাতুন নাসুহা (খাঁটি তাওবা) কী?" তিনি বললেন: "বান্দা যে পাপে লিপ্ত হয়েছিল তার জন্য লজ্জিত ও অনুতপ্ত হবে, তা থেকে আল্লাহর দিকে পলায়ন করবে এবং এরপর আর কখনো তাতে প্রত্যাবর্তন করবে না, যে পর্যন্ত না দোহনকৃত দুধ ওলানে ফিরে যায়।"
Mu'adh ibn Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "O Messenger of Allah, and what is sincere repentance (al-tawbah al-nasuh)?" He said: "It is that the servant regrets the sin he committed, flees from it to Allah, and then does not return to it until milk returns to the udder."
قال: "فيغربهما جبريل في ذلك الباب ثم يرد المصراعين، فيلتئم ما بينهما ويصيران كأنهما لم يكن فيهما صدع قط ولا خلل، فإذا أغلق باب التوبة لم يقبل لعبد بعد ذلك توبة، ولم تنفعه حسنة يعملها بعد ذلك إلا ما كان قبل ذلك فإنه يجري لهم وعليهم بعد ذلك ما كان يجري لهم قبل ذلك، فذلك قوله تعالي: {يوم يأتي بعض آيات ربك لا ينفع} ... الآية".
তিনি বললেন: "অতঃপর জিবরাঈল (আ.) সেই দরজার মধ্য দিয়ে তাদের (সূর্য ও চন্দ্রকে) ডুবিয়ে দেবেন এবং উভয় পাল্লা বন্ধ করে দেবেন। ফলে উভয়ের মধ্যবর্তী স্থান এমনভাবে জোড়া লেগে যাবে যেন তাতে কখনো কোনো ফাটল বা ত্রুটি ছিল না। যখন তাওবার দরজা বন্ধ হয়ে যাবে, তখন আর কোনো বান্দার তাওবা কবুল করা হবে না, এবং এর পরে করা কোনো নেক আমলও তার উপকারে আসবে না, কেবল পূর্বে কৃত আমল ছাড়া; কারণ পূর্বে তাদের পক্ষে বা বিপক্ষে যা কার্যকর ছিল, এর পরেও তাদের উপর তা-ই প্রযোজ্য হবে। এটিই মহান আল্লাহর বাণীর মর্ম: {যেদিন আপনার রবের কিছু নিদর্শন আসবে, সেদিন কোনো ব্যক্তির ঈমান তার উপকারে আসবে না} ... শেষ পর্যন্ত।"
He said: "Then Jibril will set them (the sun and the moon) in that gate and then close the two leaves, so that what is between them will join seamlessly together, and they will become as if there had never been any crack or defect in them. When the Gate of Repentance is closed, repentance will no longer be accepted from any servant thereafter, nor will any good deed performed thereafter benefit him, except for what he had done prior to that, for what was credited to them or against them prior to that will continue to apply to them. That is the meaning of the saying of Allah the Exalted: {The day that some of the signs of your Lord come, no soul will benefit} ... the verse."
فقال أبي بن كعب: يا رسول الله؛ فداك أبي وأمي، فكيف بالشمس والقمر بعد ذلك؟ وكيف بالناس والدنيا؟ قال: "يا أبي؛ إن الشمس والقمر يكسبان بعد ذلك ضوء النور، ثم يطلعان علي الناس ويغربان كما كانا قبل ذلك، وأما الناس: فإنهم حين رأوا ما رأوا من تلك الآية وعظمها، يلحون علي الدنيا فيعمرونها ويجرون فيها الأنهار، ويغرسون فيها الأشجار، ويبنون فيها البنيان، فأما الدنيا: فإنه لو نتج رجل مهرا لم يركبه حتي تقوم الساعة من لدن طلوع الشمس من مغربها إلى يوم ينفخ في الصور".
উবাই ইবনে কাব (রাদিয়াল্লাহু আনহু) বললেন: "হে আল্লাহর রাসুল, আমার পিতা-মাতা আপনার জন্য উৎসর্গিত হোক, এরপর সূর্য ও চন্দ্রের কী হবে? আর মানুষ ও পৃথিবীর অবস্থাই বা কেমন হবে?" তিনি বললেন: "হে উবাই, নিশ্চয় সূর্য ও চন্দ্র এরপর তাদের উজ্জ্বল আলো ফিরে পাবে, অতঃপর তারা আগের মতোই মানুষের ওপর উদিত ও অস্তমিত হতে থাকবে। আর মানুষের অবস্থা হলো: তারা যখন সেই নিদর্শনের ভয়াবহতা প্রত্যক্ষ করবে, তখন তারা পার্থিব জীবনের প্রতি গভীরভাবে মনোনিবেশ করবে; ফলে তারা একে আবাদ করবে, এতে নদ-নদী প্রবাহিত করবে, বৃক্ষ রোপণ করবে এবং প্রাসাদ নির্মাণ করবে। আর দুনিয়ার ব্যাপ্তির ব্যাপারে বলা যায়: কোনো ব্যক্তি যদি ঘোড়ার বাচ্চা প্রসব করায়, তবে সূর্য পশ্চিমাকাশ থেকে উদিত হওয়া থেকে শুরু করে শিঙ্গায় ফুঁক দেওয়ার দিন পর্যন্ত সে তাতে আরোহণ করতে পারবে না, তার আগেই কিয়ামত কায়েম হয়ে যাবে।"
Ubayy ibn Ka'b said: "O Messenger of Allah, may my father and mother be sacrificed for you, what will become of the sun and the moon after that? And what will become of the people and the world?" He said: "O Ubayy, indeed the sun and the moon will afterward regain their radiance of light, and then they will rise upon the people and set just as they used to before that. As for the people: when they have witnessed what they witnessed of that mighty sign, they will eagerly pursue the worldly life, cultivating it, causing rivers to flow in it, planting trees, and erecting buildings. As for the worldly life: if a man were to produce a foal, he would not live to ride it before the Hour is established, from the time of the sun rising from its place of setting until the day the Trumpet is blown."
