منها أنه يحسر الفرات عن جبل من ذهب
الثلاث، ثم يقاتل الترك فيظهر عليهم، ويفسد في الأرض فيبقر بطون النساء ويقتل الصبيان، ويهرب رجال من قريش إلى قسطنطينية، فيبعث إلى عظيم الروم أن يبعث بهم في المجامع فيبعث بهم إليه فيضرب أعناقهم على باب المدينة بدمشق، ثم ينفتق عليهم فتق من خلفهم، فيرجع إليهم ويقتل طائفة منهم، فينهزمون حتى يدخلوا أرض خراسان، وتقبل خيل السفياني في طلبهم كالليل والسيل، فلا تمر بشيء إلا أهلكته وهدمته، فيهدم الحصون، ويخرب القلاع حتى يدخل الزوراء، وهي بغداد فيقتل من أهلها مائة ألف، ثم يسير إلى الكوفة فيقتل من أهلها ستين ألفا، ويسبي النساء والذراري، ويبث جنوده في البلاد، فتبلغ عامة المشرق من أرض خراسان، ويطلبون أهل خراسان في كل وجه، ويبعث بعثا إلى المدينة، فيأخذون من قدروا عليه من آل محمد - صلى الله عليه وسلم -، ويقتلون من بني هاشم رجالا ونساء، ويؤتى بجماعة منهم إلى الكوفة، ويفترق بقيتهم في البراري، فعند ذلك يهرب المهدي والمبيض وفي لفظ: والمنصور في سبعة إلى مكة، ويستخفون فيرسل صاحب المدينة إلى صاحب مكة، إذا قدم عليكم فلان وفلان، ويكتب أسماءهم فاقتلوهم، فيعظم ذلك على صاحب مكة ثم يتآمرون بينهم، فيأتونه ليلا فيستجيرون به، فيقول اخرجوا آمنين فيخرجون، ثم يبعث إلى رجلين منهم، فيقتل أحدهما، والآخر ينظر إليه ويقتلون النفس الزكية بين الركن والمقام، فعند ذلك يغضب الله ويغضب أهل السموات، ثم يرجع

Men from Quraysh will flee to Constantinople, so he will send a demand to the ruler of the Romans to dispatch them back in chains, and he will send them back to him; whereupon he will strike off their necks at the gate of the city in Damascus. Then a rebellion will erupt against them from behind, so he will turn back upon them and slaughter a group of them, routing them until they enter the land of Khorasan. He will scatter his soldiers across the lands until they reach the far east in the land of Khorasan, hunting down the people of Khorasan from every direction. He will also dispatch an army to al-Madinah, where they will seize whoever they can find from the family of Muhammad (ﷺ), executing both men and women of Banu Hashim. Then they will confer among themselves and come to him at night seeking his protection; he will say: "Go forth in safety," and so they will depart. Then the governor will send after two of them, executing one while the other watches, and they will murder the Pure Soul (al-Nafs al-Zakiyyah) between the Corner and the Maqam.
